(8/28/10) Dear Diary
... (LOL, playin') Aside from trying to redefine a new way to dance
with wolves and conjure up overly romanticist language to
watch some try to interpret resulting in some absolute unintentional
hilarity, I'm quite proud that I've been able to teach myself
Dreamweaver CS5 in a little over a month. I learned the hard way
regarding some specific nuances with external CSS coding and a whole
mess of other stuff. When you spend over 3 hours trying to correct
coding for font types and sizes within particular div tags, you know
you've crossed over to a nerd zone you will never return from (btw,
I also put together my own computer for the first time -
motherboard, graphics card, power supply and everything, LOL). But
man, I can't believe I've never worked with div tags before, so
flexible. The load time is absolutely impressive as well working
with external CSS. Here's a site I recently put together for a sister who
makes some pretty awesome cakes, check it out:
www.dolcecakesbysamar.com
(looking at the gallery makes me so damn hungry, terrible when
you're fasting, lol). I did it the old school way and I really want
to go back and recode with Dreamweaver now. Designing a couple of
other ones for different people and organizations. Those I can
definitely recode as I haven't finished yet. To watch me develop the
rough design of my first site with that program so far, check out:
www.criticalmood.com/mag
(far from done).
It will be uploaded soon in full, insha'Allah. Yes, I will be using
this site as a guinea pig. I'll be taking submission for articles
soon, but we have our own set of writers so far. And yes, as you may
notice I've dropped the moniker and turned it into an online e-zine.
When I start dropping tracks again, I'll come up with a new one. I
had a million hip hop monikers people gave me in high school (ie.
Politiks - that one makes me laugh), I'll figure it out. For now,
I'm too busy nerding it up. Hey, it's extremely useful in the job
market too. :P Btw, thanks to those who still visit even though I
haven't written in a very long time. The new format will definitely
continue the tradition of offering up some interesting political
analysis while chillin' out on some other topics as well. I plan on
moving on to other things but this format will allow me to still
drop some serious deuces on occasion. I really could care less who I
end up pissing off even more this time around. I'm gonna speak my
mind with practically zero restraint. Bring on the gossip and
ad-hominem, people do it way too much already anyway. Gossip travels
fast and it's really hard to miss when "being subtle" is a
completely alien concept to these people. Unfortunately for these
guys, unless you bother me when I pray in the masjid, I could care
less. I'm not there to socialize. Call me out in public, battle me on a track, punch me while
I'm walking down the street, don't bother me when I try to meet some
of my obligations. You may think I'm the only one who's going to be
held accountable on the Day of Judgment for my political opinions
(which is all out in the open), but these gossip kings and queens,
that unfortunately exists in the ummah and think they have free
reign to control the lives of others, justifying the flapping of their massive mouths, speaking on things
they know nothing of on a personal level, confusing "guiding" with
straight up coercion through gossip, will get theirs as well.
Keep it strictly to the topic at hand if you have any sense in you.
Aside from that, I don't give a damn. You have absolutely nothing to threaten
me with.
Here's a sample of what type of
logical fallacies I've been waging a war against:
