The judge appeared more concerned with expediting the trial than ensuring justice, the politisation of the judicial process and possible bias of the appeal courts. Many prominent organizations (including Amnesty International) and individuals have called for a new and fair trial for him.

His avenues of redress have been exhausted and many are recognizing that a retrial is no longer a feasible and many are now calling for his immediate and unconditional release.

In light of the current political environment, Islam and Muslims have been subjected to tremendous amount of prejudices and distortions. Do not go to mainstream media lackeys like Tarek Fatah and Irshad Manji who are not only disrespectful to those who adhere to a different perspective of Islam (ironic that they are asking to be respected), but they also hold barely any clout within the Muslim community. This website is really good in that it informs the readers of many differing opinions regarding any particular issue. Of course, there are more sites out there.
